Get the home ready before the photographer arrives

Listing prep is not ordinary housekeeping. The goal is to make the home look clean, cared for, and ready for professional photography and showings. Small details that disappear during everyday life can become obvious in listing photos.

Why cleaning before photography matters

A camera captures dust on dark surfaces, fingerprints on stainless steel, streaks on mirrors, buildup around fixtures, and neglected corners more readily than a quick walkthrough does. A detailed clean gives the photographer a better starting point and helps the home make a stronger first impression.

Listing prep for agents and homeowners

Scrub Pop has worked with Seattle-area real-estate agents since 2021. If you manage multiple listings, tell us what your normal workflow looks like. We can discuss a recurring arrangement for listing-prep work.

Schedule around your photo or listing date

Include the photography, staging, listing, or showing date in the request. The goal is to have the cleaning happen close enough to that milestone that the home still looks freshly cleaned when it matters.

What's included

  • Detailed kitchen and bathroom cleaning
  • Interior glass and mirrors
  • Light fixtures
  • Blinds, sills, shelves, and trim
  • Floors throughout
  • Spot attention to areas that are especially visible in photographs

How pricing works

We bill for time on site by the cleaner-hour — every hour each cleaner is on the job counts as one. Two cleaners for four hours is eight cleaner-hours. There's a three-hour minimum, billed in quarter-hour increments.

Example: at $60 per cleaner-hour, eight cleaner-hours is $480. The $60 figure is only an example — your rate is confirmed when we book.

Want a target price or a not-to-exceed cap? Contact us with the details and we'll talk it through. We sometimes quote larger or unusual house-cleaning projects instead of billing hourly.

Frequently asked questions

How close to listing photos should the home be cleaned?
Ideally, the cleaning should happen shortly before photography. Include your photo date in the request so we can plan around it.
Do you clean for open houses too?
Yes. Listing prep can be scheduled around photography, showings, open houses, or the date a property goes live.
Can a real-estate agent book listing prep for a client?
Yes. Scrub Pop works with Seattle-area real-estate agents and can schedule around the property's timeline.
Is listing prep the same as a move-out clean?
Not exactly. Listing prep is focused on presentation and the surfaces that show in photography and showings. A move-out clean uses a more comprehensive empty-house checklist.
